EtherWAN EMC1600 media converter rack is a 16-slot, 19" rack-mount chassis — providing flexibility, reliability and redundant power for mission critical network infrastructures. Its flexible design allows you to power up to (16) EtherWAN Commercial Fiber Media Converters in one media converter chassis, giving users a solution that fits the needs of each individual network installation. Designed with dual power inputs, the EMC1600 allows for two separate power sources to increase reliability and dependability while eliminating the single point of failure of a single power source. (Two Power Supplies Included with the EMC1600)

With its hot swappable design, the EMC1600 media converter rack allows existing communications to remain uninterrupted during the simple installation of EtherWAN commercial fiber media converters. In addition, the EMC1600 incorporates electrical isolation with fused overcurrent protection between devices within its chassis. With its solid metal enclosure, rackmount design, and hot swappable technology, the EMC1600 is the ideal solution for reliably interconnecting separated network media and extending Ethernet beyond its boundaries.
