The EtherWAN EMC1600 brings multiple fiber connections and Ethernet extension links into one rack-mounted installation. Its 16-bay design centralizes compatible devices and their power connections, helping organize equipment in network rooms and communications racks.

Compatible devices can be installed or removed while the chassis remains powered, without interrupting communications through the other installed devices. Each bay is electrically isolated and protected against overcurrent.

Common Questions

Which media converters work with the EMC1600?
Supported EtherWAN families include EL100/EL200, EL2211, EL2315, EL2321, and EM120, along with selected Ethernet extenders and other compatible models. Compatibility depends on the specific device, not simply its Ethernet speed or fiber connector. Confirm your model before ordering.

Are the power supplies and media converters included?
Two AC power supplies are included with the EMC1600 chassis. Media converters and Ethernet extenders are sold separately.

Can I add or replace a converter without shutting down the entire rack?
Yes. Compatible devices support hot-swappable installation. Removing a device interrupts its own connection, while other installed devices can continue operating.
