Gigabit copper SFP module with an RJ45 connector. Supports Ethernet links up to 100m using Cat. 5 or better cable. Hardened operating temperature: −40 to 85°C (−40 to 185°F).

The EtherWAN SFPGXT1AM adds an RJ45 copper Ethernet connection to compatible equipment with an SFP port. It provides 1 Gbps connectivity for installations that use twisted-pair Ethernet cable.

Use this module when you need to connect a supported SFP port to an RJ45 Ethernet device or existing copper cabling. Confirm that your equipment supports this copper SFP model before ordering.

Common Questions

Does this module use fiber cable?
No. The SFPGXT1AM uses copper Ethernet cable with an RJ45 connector. Fiber patch cables, including FCBL-SMLCLC-2M and FCBL-SMSCLC-2M, do not connect to this module.

What Ethernet cable does it require?
EtherWAN specifies Cat. 5 or better cable, with a maximum reach of 100m. Use properly terminated RJ45 cabling suitable for your equipment and installation environment.

Will this work in any Gigabit SFP port?
Not automatically. The equipment must support a compatible copper RJ45 SFP. Check the equipment manufacturer’s supported transceiver specifications before ordering. Contact us with your equipment model if you need help confirming compatibility.
