SFPGYS20M Hardened Gigabit Single-Mode BiDi SFP Module

The EtherWAN SFPGYS20M provides bidirectional Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over a single strand of 9/125µm single-mode fiber. Its single LC connection lets you transmit and receive through one fiber strand, helping conserve available fiber in industrial network installations.

The SFPGYS20M transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1550nm. Pair it with an SFPGZS20M module at the opposite end of the link. Its hardened operating temperature range supports installation in compatible industrial Ethernet switches and media converters.

Pair the SFPGYS20M with SFPGZS20M. The SFPGYS20M transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1550nm, while SFPGZS20M uses the opposite wavelengths. Two SFPGYS20M modules will not form the intended link.

Does this module need one or two fiber strands?
It uses one strand of 9/125µm single-mode fiber with an LC connection. Different wavelengths carry traffic in each direction through the same strand.

Will this module work in any SFP port?
Confirm that the equipment supports a 1 Gbps BiDi SFP module with these specifications. The SFP form factor and MSA compliance alone do not guarantee compatibility with every switch or media converter.
