The EtherWAN SFPMIS20M provides 100 Mbps single-mode fiber connectivity for compatible Ethernet switches and media converters. Its hardened temperature rating makes it suitable for industrial equipment, transportation systems, utility networks, and other installations exposed to wide temperature changes.

The module uses two 9/125µm single-mode fiber strands through a duplex LC connection. It supports links up to 20km, subject to the link’s optical losses. Confirm that your equipment supports a 100 Mbps fiber SFP, along with the installed fiber type and required distance, before ordering.

What is the difference between the SFPMIS20M and SFPGIS20M?
The SFPMIS20M supports 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet, while the SFPGIS20M supports 1 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet. Both use duplex LC connectors and single-mode fiber with up to 20km reach. Choose the module that matches your equipment’s supported fiber-port speed and transceiver specifications.

What fiber cable does this module require?
It requires two strands of 9/125µm single-mode fiber with duplex LC connectors at the module. Use an LC-to-LC patch cable for an LC connection at the other end, or an SC-to-LC patch cable when connecting to an SC patch panel or compatible SC-equipped device.

Will this work in a Gigabit SFP port?
Only if the equipment explicitly supports a compatible 100 Mbps fiber SFP in that port. A Gigabit SFP port does not automatically support 100 Mbps modules. Check the equipment manufacturer’s supported transceiver specifications and use a compatible 100 Mbps optical transceiver at the other end.
