The EtherWAN EL100C connects copper Ethernet equipment to multimode fiber through one RJ45 Ethernet port and one fixed SC fiber port. Its 1310nm optics support links up to 2km, making it suitable for extending Fast Ethernet connections between equipment rooms or buildings.

Designed for climate-controlled commercial installations, this unmanaged converter provides straightforward Ethernet-to-fiber connectivity. DIP switches let you configure Link-Fault-Pass-Through, duplex settings, and store-and-forward or converter mode to suit the connection.

Common Questions

What is the difference between the EL100C and EL100T?
Both support 10/100 Mbps copper Ethernet to 100 Mbps multimode fiber with up to 2km reach. The EL100C uses SC connectors, while the EL100T uses ST connectors. Choose the model that matches your fiber connections.

Does the EL100C require an SFP module?
No. Its fiber optics and SC connections are built in. Use a compatible 100BASE-FX multimode device at the other end of the fiber link.

Is the power adapter included?
Yes. A 12VDC external power adapter is included for standalone operation. The optional EMC1600 media converter rack is sold separately.
