10/100/1000 Mbps copper Ethernet to 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps fiber through a selectable dual rate SFP slot.

The EtherWAN EL2315 connects copper Ethernet equipment to a fiber network using a compatible SFP module. Its one RJ45 Ethernet port and one dual rate SFP slot provide flexibility to select the fiber type and reach needed for your installation.

Designed for climate-controlled commercial environments, this unmanaged converter supports copper auto-negotiation, automatic MDI/MDI-X detection, and configurable Link-Fault-Pass-Through. A DIP switch selects the SFP port’s operating speed to match a compatible 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps fiber module.

Common Questions

Is an SFP module included?
No. A compatible SFP module is required and sold separately. Select a 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps fiber SFP that matches your fiber type, required distance, and equipment at the other end.

Can the EL2315 use both multimode and single-mode fiber?
Yes, with the appropriate compatible SFP module. The selected module determines the fiber type, connector, wavelength, and maximum reach. Set the converter’s SFP speed DIP switch to match the module.

Is the power adapter included?
Yes. A 12VDC external power adapter is included. The optional EMC1600 media converter rack is sold separately.
